The 51勛圖厙 is excited to announce a brand-new opportunity for a Coordinator in our centralised Core Research Facility (CRF) unit. This is your chance to be part of something transformative and to enable world-changing research.

As CRF Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of a dynamic and ambitious team, working closely with the Head of Core Research Facility Operations, the Director of Research Infrastructure & Facilities (RIF), Faculty Finance teams and colleagues across the University. You will help deliver a sustainable research infrastructure that accelerates the University’s research strategy.

You’ll take the lead on a wide range of exciting and essential activities, including:

  • Operations & Finance – Oversee facility booking systems and support financial processes.
  • Client Engagement – Be the friendly, professional point of contact for our external partners.
  • Unit Support – Assist with HR, Health & Safety, Campus Infrastructure, and committee coordination.
  • Strategic Projects – Collaborate on initiatives that shape the future of CRF operations.
  • Marketing & Communications support – work with internal marketing teams to build awareness of CRF offerings at the university and externally

About the role:

  • Part-time, open-ended position

<![CDATA[Sports Assistant (CC12876)]]> /jobs/rss/click.aspx?ref=CC12876 /jobs/rss/click.aspx?ref=CC12876 As a Sports Assistant you will play a vital role within our team, carrying out the day-to-day front of house operation of all Sports facilities and associated areas, so that we can provide indoor and outdoor activities and events for students, university staff, the local community and high-performance athletes.

This is a great position to learn and develop basic skills within a sporting environment where you will get to work alongside high-performance athletes, many of whom compete in the Summer and Winter Olympics.

About the role

Your main responsibilities will consist of

  • lifeguarding
  • setting up indoor and outdoor activities
  • setting up events
  • assisting with general enquiries from customers
  • responding to ad hoc requests for support

You will also be involved in patrolling facilities, security, cleanliness, health and safety and emergency procedures.

Further information

You will need good interpersonal skills, the ability to work as part of a team and enjoy working varied hours. 

You will work an average of 36.5 hours per week over in a shift rota with the other Sports Assistants which will include early mornings, evenings and weekends covering all hours of operation between 05:45 and 22:30 weekdays and 07:30 to 19:30 weekends. 

Due to the working hours and pattern of this role, this role is only suitable for those aged 18 years and over.

Part of this role involves lifeguarding duties and therefore you will need to have a lifeguarding (NPLQ) qualification. You can gain the qualification by completing a short course with the Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK) - find out more here:

This role requires a basic DBS check which we would organise for you and we will support you with all the training you need to thrive in this inspiring environment.

In this role, you’ll have the chance to take charge of your own area and lead by example, all while mentoring our junior kitchen staff.  You won’t be alone - you’ll be in a team of Chef de Parties, and you’ll be supported by our Sous Chefs and Head Chef, who are here to guide and inspire you.

Our outlets are open seven days a week, so this is a 5 over 7 contract.  This will include working early mornings, late evenings, and weekend shifts in a vibrant kitchen setting.

This is a full-time contract, working 36.5 hours per week over 40 weeks of the year, with fixed time off (that includes personal holiday allowance) in accordance with the University's annual Academic year chart:
